There is no doubt that school buildings are among the most important buildings in a community. Most of the school buildings in Nepal are built by the community itself. The locally available construction materials such as fired or unfired bricks, stone in mud mortar, timber etc. control the construction process. The use of modern materials such as cement, concrete, and steel bars is governed by their affordability and accessibility, and is confined to urban areas and areas accessible by transport.
A proper learning environment requires concentration and external noise is major distracting factor in education. Sound insulation is fundamentally important to learning to stop sound from getting in and also from getting out. A proper school building plays a vital role in creating a good environment for learning.
